Finally.. This project is finished! :)

Name of the project: “4 SEASONS

I’ve been photographing the same tree for every season in the year: autumn, winter, spring and then summer…

It has been a difficult project because this tree is located just under the Ivančica - tallest peak in northwestern part of Croatia. There is no other way to come here than by foot… (about one hour of moderate hiking)

It is a beech tree which is fairly common in this part of Croatia, but this one is special because it stands out from the forest ‘crowd’ and it is very photogenic.. :)

PS - Open it in High res ;)

Krn Lake is located at an altitude of 1340 m. It is 400 m long and 17 m deep and is considered the largest alpine lake.

Small, gluttonous fish (Phoxinus leavis) were brought to the lake between the wars as food for the trout and have acclimatised very well.

Krn Lake almost completely floods the basin at the foot of Krn that is surrounded with rare pinewoods.

The moments at sunset, when from the banks of the lake one can view the rocky summits above, can be very peaceful.
